Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Housing Rehabilitation Program

Village of Dorchester
The Village of Dorchester offers access to zero-interest home repair and rehabilitation loans for eligible low- and moderate-income residents through the Wisconsin Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. Because the village lies in both Clark and Marathon counties, the program is administered by two different regional housing authorities. Please review the information below for the county in which your property is located.

Clark County Residents - Administered by Chippewa County Housing Authority

The Village of Dorchester participates in the CDBG Home Repair & Homebuyer Programs for properties located in Clark County. Down-payment and closing-cost assistance is also available for income-eligible homebuyers.Loans are secured by a mortgage and repaid only when the home is no longer owner-occupied or sold. Maximum loan amount is generally $100,000 (exceptions possible for emergencies or lead-based paint hazards).
